The mandala depicts the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism, also known as Ashtamangala, radially spaced between Ficus Religiosa leaves that grow from the Bodhi Tree, under which Siddharta Gautama reached Nirvana and became Buddha.
