Air Dried Apple Rings - Graceful Little Honey Bee: 1. Core apples. 2. Slice 1/4″ thick (Remove any bad spots.) 3. Submerge apple rings in salt water. (This keeps them from discoloring.) 4. Hang apples in a warm, dry place. They should be ready in 3-5 days. 5. When apples are dried, place in 175 degree oven for 15 minutes OR in a deep freeze for 2 days. This should kill any bacteria and/or insect eggs on the fruit. 6. Store in airtight container. They should keep for months. Note: If any condensation appears around the apples they are not dried and should be eaten or left to dry more.
