SEPA | FITB Festival iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá | Contest

The Iberoamerican Theater Festival of Bogota for the fifteenth edition launched an open call to design the image of the festival for 2016. The festival has taken place in bogota for 27 years and it's considered one of the most important theater festivals around the world. My approach started to looking up the axis of the theater, their basic element: the body. As all we know, the body language is a form of nonverbal communication that plays a key role in the theater. For that reason, i used the extremities of the body to create the typeface of the festival and represent through the gestures of each type the essence of the festival. These types, besides of be the official typeface of the festival, becomes the image itself.
