My Big, Fat, Green Smoothies – on a budget. Just because you don't cook with a part of a fruit or vegetable doesn't mean it's not good for you! Many of the peels and "waste" parts have MORE nutrients than the rest of the vegetable or fruit! Thinks like that are prime candidates for my green smoothies along with a base of kale, spinach or chard. Add in ginger, turmeric, mushroom for anti-inflammatory properties and you have the HEALTHIEST if not the worst tasting (no sweetener, just suck it up - the first is the worst!) Green Smoothies ever!
