I re-did the kids bathroom for cheap. We had old white laminate counter tops and wanted something nice, but did not want to spend the money on granite... So after reading some cool posts on pintrest I blended a couple of techniques and came up with my own.
I used spray paint "Textured, multicolor" I used 5 cans for this counter top. any less would look blotchy. I did tape up all areas including floors and walls. the over spray is killer so better prep areas well. I wiped the counter clean with alcohol (I did not sand).
after my paint was dry just 4 hours I applied the clear glaze. I used 1.5 boxes of this stuff. It is amazing!!! BTW go ahead and mix all together, its easier to have all the glaze ready to go instead of working with small amounts. This was my first time working with glaze and I had plenty of time to spread it and it was not curing on me.
i am amazed at the results.
Oh, also changed the faucets :)
